Import Point Cloud

To import point cloud in ARCHLine.XP follow the next steps:

Select Building - Point Cloud - Import.

In the dialog that appears, select the point cloud file you want to import.

Point clouds can be imported in the following file formats: PLY, E57, LAS, RCP, RCS, PTX.
The .rcp format file is a project file that groups together multiple .rcs scan files.

Once you have selected the point cloud file ARCHLine.XP will process it and place it one of the following ways:

 1. Default:                 ARCHLine.XP places the center of the point cloud bounding box at the global origin.
 2. Use Geolocation:  ARCHLine.XP places the point cloud using its real-world geographic location.

Where can it be set? 

Options - Item Settings - Point cloud

For .rcp import, the dialog box that appears will display the multiple .rcs files available in the support folder. You can choose which one you want to import.

The point cloud is visible in floor plan and 3D views.

You can use then point cloud filters to display only the relevant parts of point cloud.
