Temporary Dimensions

Temporary Dimensions only locate objects that are parallel or nearly parallel to one another.

1. To adjust a wall's position relative to another wall
For this first example, we will use a simple 4-walled rectangular structure as shown below.

- Select the wall on the left with a single click.

- Press and hold SHIFT or CTRL and select the wall on the right with a single click.

- When you do, you should see temporary dimension display.

When you move the cursor to this temporary size, the mouse cursor changes from an arrow to an index finger.  Click on the dimension value and now you can enter in the new distance you need and press Enter/Return on the keyboard to accept the change.

The wall will move to the left or right to accommodate the new distance.
