By turning on Ray Tracing, you can create realistic images in LIVE in seconds. All you need to do is toggle the Ray Tracing feature in the settings and regenerate the images. Ray Tracing is only available with NVIDIA RTX and AMD RADEON video cards, for compatibility information please visit the manufacturer's website. For non-compatible video cards, several options are available.
When you enter Options, the Quality tab allows you to set the display quality and the display technology.
Ray Tracing
With a Ray Tracing compatible video card, reflections are automatically displayed by the program, no need to place a Reflection on the reflective surfaces from the library. Under the Ray Tracing switch buttons, the Maximum bounces and Samples per pixel adjust the quality of the Ray Tracing. The higher the setting, the better the quality of the images. When using high values, the display is more accurate but requires more resources, which can lead to significant slowdown. It is recommended to set high settings only when saving images.
Lumen
If your computer is not compatible with Ray Tracing technology, it is recommended that you set Lumen to both Reflection method and Global illumination method. In this case, it is recommended to apply the Reflection effect from the library to the reflective surfaces.
