You can set the color of an object either by specifying its color explicitly or in layer control mode with its layer color. Assigning colors explicitly provides additional distinctions between objects is the preferred working method.
Assigning colors by layer provides CAD compatibility to identify each layer within your imported drawing.
All objects are created using its current style color, which is displayed in the Properties dialogs.
