You can specify different geometrical transformation on the elements.
You can move, rotate, mirror and scale elementsat a specified distance and direction from the originals.
For precision, you can apply grid and object rasters, coordinates, and other tools to precisely move elements.
Note: You cannot apply the scale command to aarchitectural or interior design objects. Embedded objects, such as doors, windows or columns in a wall, cannot be moved independently, only within the wall.
Moving |
Move the selected elementsusing the distance and direction specified by a first point then by a second point. |
Move selected elements to another floor | This means that elements are deleted from the current floor and moved vertically to another floor. |
Mirroring | This command creates a mirrored copy of selected elements through a given axis. Note: when you mirror a text, the direction of the text is not changed. Set the text property Mirrored if you want the text to be reversed. |
Rotating | Rotates the selected elements. You can specify an angle value, drag the cursor, or specify a reference angle for alignment to specify the angle of rotation. |
Move with shift and rotate |
Move and rotate in one step the selected elements. |
Scale | |
Scale by value | Scale the selected elementsby a scale factor |
Scale by distance |
Resizes the selected elements in proportion to the current distance between two specified points and the desired distance. |
Relocate project origin |
Move the base coordinates (0,0) to a desired place. Note: There may be scenarios where the project is intentionally far from the origin of the coordinate system. (for example, this is a smaller part of a larger plot, a city map or something similar). It typically occurs when importing DWF/DXF files that contain a geo reference. In such cases, for the sake of accurate planning, it is recommended to move the origin of the project close to the place where the model will be connected to the imported environment. Attention, in order to ensure accurate cooperation with the other designers, the original origin must be restored before exporting the model with Restore project origin command. |
Restore project origin | Restore project origin command is necessary before reexporting the model. |
Note: You cannot apply the scale command to aarchitectural or interior design objects.
