Creates a circle based on two endpoints of the diameter.
To create circles, you can specify combinations of center, radius, diameter, points on the circumference, and tangential points on other objects. The default method is to specify the center and the radius.
Command location: Drafting > Circle
Center point |
Specifies a circle by its centre point and radius.
• Define the center point.
• Define graphically the radius with a point or type the value.
|
Three points (3P) |
Specifies a circle by three points of its circumference.
• Define the first point.
• Define the second point.
• Define the third point.
|
Center and tangent |
Specifies a circle that has a graphically defined centre and is tangent to an object close to the pick point.
• Define the centre point.
• Define the object tangent to the circle.
|
Two points and tangent |
Specifies a circle that passes through the two given points and is tangential to the given object near the pick point.
• Define the first point on the circle.
• Define the second point on the circle.
• Define the object the circle will be tangential to.
|
One point and tangents to two items (Tangent, Tangent, Radius) |
Specifies a circle that passes through the given point and is tangential to both given objects near the specified points.
• Select the first item.
• Select the second item.
• Define the point. |
Tangent to three objects (Tangent, Tangent, Tangent) |
Specifies a circle that is tangential to all three given objects near the specified points.
• Select the first item.
• Select the second item.
• Select the third item.
|
Radius, point and tangent |
Create a circle by specifying a perimeter point and an element that touches the circle. • Select an element that the circle will touch. |
Axis (Two Points) |
Creates a circle based on two endpoints of the diameter. • Click to place the starting point of the axis. |
Two points and radius |
Specifies a circle that passes through two given points and has a given radius. If more than one circle meets the specified conditions, the program draws the circle with the specified radius whose tangent points are closest to the selected points |
