The program places a dimension string parallel to the wall or group of walls selected by automatically snapping to the following special points:

• Wall connection points and wall endpoints,
• Wall endpoints and door and window endpoints,
• Wall endpoints and door and window axes,
• Wall endpoints only,
• Wall connection points and wall endpoints with wall layer thickness.

You can specify the sequence of the parallel dimensioning. Use the Wall Dimensioning command to place several dimension lines parallel to the wall in one step:

• Openings axis and wall end points,
• Open frame and wall endpoints,
• Wall junction and end points,
• Wall endpoints and serial measurements,
• Parapet heights.

Wall dimensioning styles

In the pop-up window, you can choose from a predefined set of dimension styles to use when placing the dimensioning. The program always uses the current dimension style by default. Clicking on the edit button will bring up the Wall dimensioning dialog, where you can specify the wall and opening dimension you want to use. Existing dimension styles can be deleted and new styles can be created by clicking on the add button.

All walls

With this function, you first select the walls you want to scale, and then press enter to place the dimensions at the specified distance from the wall.

Walls

This function allows you to place the dimensioning for the selected wall. Once the wall is selected, the dimension for the selected style is automatically displayed and can be placed at any distance from the wall.

Automatic wall dimensioning

When this function is activated, the program automatically generates the dimensioning for the wall when walls are placed and automatically updates it when windows are placed.

Window

The dimension set in the window properties dialog is automatically applied by the program. It is possible to apply the dimension only to the selected windows or to all windows on a given floor.

Door

The dimension set in the door properties dialog is automatically applied by the program. It is possible to apply the dimension only to the selected doors or to all doors on the given floor.

Deleting door/window

The installed opening dimensions are deleted by the program at that floor.

Room internal dimensions

It allows you to place the vertical and horizontal dimensions of a room on the floor plan.

Area

Use the cursor to select an area on the floor plan, then move the box indicating the value of the area. This method makes it easy to specify the area of specific rooms.

Triangulation

The program divides the selected area into triangles, calculates the areas of the triangles and gives the size of the selected area.

Area with rectangle divide

You can measure the area of a room (or other enclosed contour) and then overlay the resulting value on the drawing.
