Similarly to the rafters in the roof, it is possible to define slabs with beams. In the Beams and block flooring system dialog you can switch on the building up of beams and their representation in 2D.
Beams in slab
Activate the Beams in slab option to display the beams in the slab. The beams are automatically created with the set values.
Name | The default beam created with the E-24 profile. Click on the name of the beam to change the profile and its parameters. |
A | The distance between the end of the beam and the edge of the slab. |
B | The distance between the centerline of the beams. |
C | The distance between the bottom of the slab and the bottom of the beam. |
W | The width of the profile. |
H | The height of the profile. |
Use profile |
The beam is automatically created with the selected cross-section profile and the set values. |
Use object | The beam is created with the object selected from the library. |
Material | Select the material of the beam. |
Regenerate | When changes are made in the beams, activate this option to update the floor plan and the 3D view. |
Beams along the holes
When a hole is placed in the slab, ARCHLine.XP automatically cuts the beams at the edges of the hole. Activate this command to create a beam along the edges of the hole to make the plan more realistic.
Name | The default beam created with the E-24 profile. Click on the name of the beam to change the profile and its parameters. |
Layer of framing | Select the slab layer that the beam is placed in. |
Material | Select the material of the beam. |
Regenerate | When changes are made in the beams, activate this option to update the floor plan and the 3D view. |
Slab clay block
Add slab clay blocks to the slab.
Name | The default beam created with the E-24 profile. Click on the name of the beam to change the profile and its parameters. |
Additional slab clay blocks | From the slab clay blocks existing in the list, one will be placed, which fits the most to the given beam distance. |
Slab clay blocks are enabled out of side beams, too | The slab clay blocks are displayed at the side of the slab even if there is no beam on the other side of the clay blocks. |
Lx | The distance between the edge of the beams and the support of clay blocks. (Must be specified manually!) |
Ly | The distance between the bottom of the beams and the blocks. |
Lw | Width of the slab clay block. |
Gap between slab's contour line and clay blocks | The offset from the edge of the slab where clay blocks are not placed. |
Distance of beams is aligned to width of slab clay blocks | The beam distance is automatically aligned to the clay blocks' width. |
Representation in 2D | Select the display style of the clay blocks on the floor plan. |
Visual properties
Color | Select the color of the beams on the floor plan representation. |
Line weight | Select the line weight of the beams on the floor plan representation. |
Line type | Select the line type of the beams on the floor plan representation. |
Show slab beams 2D representation | When activated, the beams appear on the floor plan. |
Display of beam sign allowed | A symbol is displayed instead of the actual beam silhouettes. |
Representation by centerline | The centerline is displayed of the beams. |
Exchange endings | Exchange the bottom and top endings of the beam. |
Bottom (start) ending | Select a preset ending type or create a custom ending. |
Top (other) ending | Select a preset ending type or create a custom ending. |
Layer of framing | Select the slab layer that the beam is placed in. |
Example of a slab with beams and clay blocks (with the View - 3D Model - LOG Settings dialog: Others and activating the "Roof tiles and slab clay blocks in 3D" combobox):
