Placing objects in the 3D model used to require mathematical calculations if you didn't want to place objects directly on the ground, but e.g. wanted to place a lamp on the ceiling. In this case, you had to calculate the height of the lamp and the ceiling height, so that you could calculate the base elevation of the object.
Now you don't need to do any calculations to place objects exactly where you want them. When you select an object, you can specify not only the base elevation but also the top height in the properties. With this option, you simply enter the height value of the top of the object and it will jump to the correct position in a snap. For ceiling and pendant lamp placement, this is a particularly effective solution, as you only need to enter the ceiling height value and the lamp will immediately appear in the correct position.
