Can I transfer my license to another computer?

You can revoke the license with Help - Deactivate License command. After doing so, you can re-enter the key on another machine.

The first time you run ARCHLine.XP on your computer you will need to register your license. 

Step 1. Deactivate the ARCHLine.XP license on your old computer.

Step 2. Activate ARCHLine.XP on your new computer.

There are three methods to move ARCHLine.XP to another computer:

1. ARCHLine.XP is running on a computer that is currently connected to the Internet.
   To deactivate the license, execute the Help - Deactivate License command.
   
   Version 2022: You must log out of the user account on the old machine and log in on the new machine. If you are not logged out of the user account on the old machine, you will need to restart the program at least twice after logging on to the new machine.
   
2. If you are physically away from the computer where ARCHLine.XP is activated, or there is internet connection, but the computer is unable to connect to the ARCHLine.XP Web Service: this might be caused by firewall settings, admin settings, etc. If this happens, you can log into your ARCHLine.XP account on our website, where you can deactivate your license online.

   Click on Licenses.
   
   Click on the button, Deactivate for transfer license to another computer.
   
3. Via email:
   if there is no Internet connection, send an email with activation request from Help - Add License  dialog. Remember to attach the saved license identification file (file has .allicreq extension) to the email. You will receive in email the activation file with an .allic extension. Open this file in the same dialog.
   3.1. How to send activation request?
   Type your 16 digit serial number and follow the instruction below.
   
   Please send an email to the indicated email address with license activation request.
   Remember to attach the saved license identification file to the email.
   
   3.2. How to receive the activation file?
   Type your 16 digit serial number and follow the instruction below.
   
   Press on Next button and browse the license (.allic) file you received by email.
   

When you have received the email in the attachment the activation file with an .allic extension.

1. 1. Download the file with an .allic extension.
   2. Go to Help - Add License dialog again.
   3. Enter or paste your 16 digits ARCHLine.XP serial number.
   4. Select in the combobox this line: I activate the license using the license file I received by email.
   5. Click Next button to choose the license request file that you received by email attachment with an .allic extension.
      When your license activates successfully, ARCHLine.XP displays “The software has been activated, please restart the software” message.
   6. Restart ARCHLine.XP.

Please note:

Once your license has been moved to another computer, you will no longer be able to use the program on your original computer.
