In the case of a dongle license, is the dongle inserted in the computer not recognized by Archline?
This is how you can check the operation of the dongle:
- Open the archlinexp.com website.
- On the Download > Download Center site, select the Other page, and then scroll to the Drivers page at the bottom of the page.
- Find the Hardlock key tester application here and download the app.
- Launch the downloaded application on your computer. Make sure the dongle is plugged into your computer before running the application!
- Click OK in the pop-up window, and the scan will begin.
- A test will start in a new window, which will display after a few seconds whether the dongle is good or not. If the message says there is "NO USB driver", go to chapter 11.
- If the dongle is good, the application will display OK. To check the key information, click the Serial button in the menu bar.
- Clicking on the Serial button will display the hardware key information needed to identify the user and the key. The serial# line contains the serial number, only the first 6 digits of which are taken into account!
- If the hardware key is not recognised by the application, a "Nem jo!" error message is displayed. In this case, check that the key works when inserted into another USB port on the computer. If you still get the "Nem jo!" error message when you insert the key in another USB port, check the key on another computer.
- If the monitoring application still displays the "Nem jo!" error message after you've done the steps described above, contact your local distributor for further instructions!
If the message says "NO USB driver" follow these steps:
- Remove the Hardware key from the computer!
- In Windows Start > Settings > System > About > System type check the version of the Windows installed on your computer (32/64 bit version).
- Open the archlinexp.com website.
- On the Download > Download Center site, select the Other page, and then scroll to the Drivers page at the bottom of the page.
- Download the correct version of Sentinel System Driver Cleanup Utility and run it.
- When the Cleanup Utility is finished, download from the Drivers page the Sentinel System Driver Installer and run it.
- When the installation is ready, insert the dongle in the computer and start testing it from Chapter 4.
