The Curtain Wall Properties dialog lets you configure a curtain wall system by adjusting:

Mullions (internal grid elements)

Panels (glass units)

Frames (outer boundary)

Corner mullions (at junctions)

With these controls, you can model anything from simple glass façades to complex steel-framed curtain walling systems.

Curtain Wall Properties

This dialog defines the geometry, materials, and layout of a curtain wall system, including mullions, frames, panels, and corners.

1. Mullion (vertical/horizontal bars between glass panels)

Property	Description	Notes
Cross-section type	Shape of mullion (e.g., rectangular).	Defines geometry in 2D/3D.
Mullion thickness	Depth of mullion (into/out of plane).
Mullion width	Visible width of mullion on façade.
Mullion material	Material assigned (e.g., Steel).
Offset of mullion	Distance of mullion from glass reference line.
Placement relative to glass	Defines alignment (Middle, Inside, Outside).	Controls whether mullion is centered or offset.

Glass thickness	Panel thickness.
Glass material	Surface material for panels.
Glass offset	Distance of glass from reference side.
Fixed Distance option	Allows setting fixed spacing instead of equal division.	Used for custom grids.
Equally divided glasses in horizontal	Number of divisions horizontally.
Equally divided glasses in vertical	Number of divisions vertically.

Property	Description	Notes
Cross-section type	Shape of frame profile (e.g., rectangular).	Like mullions but applies to perimeter.
Frame width	Visible width of boundary frame.
Frame thickness	Depth of frame.
Frame material	Material for perimeter frame.
Top frame / Bottom frame / Left frame / Right frame	Toggles whether that side has a frame.
Place mullion on left/right when frame is OFF	If frames are off, a mullion can take their place.	Keeps grid consistent when side frames are omitted.
