The Rebar feature enables the detailed reinforcement of reinforced concrete elements—such as beams, columns, and slabs—directly within the BIM model. With the new user interface, creating the desired reinforcement structure is faster and easier than ever. Both predefined and custom rebar shapes can be used, allowing the model to be accurately adapted to real structural requirements. Rebar is linked to the geometry of concrete elements, providing precise technical documentation and quantity takeoffs for construction.
Command location: Ribbon Menu > Structure > Rebar
Rebar reinforcement can be quickly and easily added to already placed columns using built-in profiles or custom shapes. By activating the Ribbon Menu > Structure > Rebar command, the reinforcement settings for columns, beams, and slabs become available. The editing interface can also be opened by clicking the gray rebar icon that appears at the center of selected structural elements in the project.
Properties
In the displayed panel, activating the first row allows you to define the properties of the horizontal rebar profile, while activating the second row allows you to define the vertical rebar profile. Here you can set the profile type, steel diameter, and placement.
More
The selected (horizontal or vertical) rebar profile can be deleted using the Delete button in the More section. In the same area, you can rotate the selected profile and open the Rebar Properties dialog.
Material and Editing
In the Material section, the material assigned to the rebar can be defined. Changes can be saved by clicking the checkmark icon, while the X icon closes the editor without saving.
