With ARCHLine.XP 2026, importing Revit Family (RFA) files is smoother, faster, and easier. During RFA import, the program automatically creates object variants, allowing the entire package to be imported without data loss and displayed completely in the Object Center.
Command location: File > Open Project > RFA Family
When importing from Revit, it is not always possible to determine in advance whether an RFA file contains a single object or a complete Revit family with multiple elements. During RFA import, ARCHLine.XP automatically recognizes the source file and, based on its contents, provides the option to convert Revit family elements into compatible objects.
During the import process, the program prompts the user in a dialog to select which element to import, or to enable an option that imports all elements from the file at once. If all family elements are imported, ARCHLine.XP creates a variant group in the usual way, listing all available variants. From the variant group list, you can then select which element you want to use in the project.
In the library, a folder icon displayed in the top-right corner of the imported object’s preview indicates that the object contains multiple variants. Clicking the object displays all available variants, allowing you to choose which one to use in the project.
