ARCHLine.XP object variants provide a flexible and efficient solution for managing objects that are similar in nature but have different properties. With this feature, multiple variants can be created within a single object type, making it easy to compare different design or size options. This is especially useful in projects where the same element appears in many modified or customized forms. Variants can be clearly organized and quickly switched in the Object Center, significantly improving workflow efficiency. All of this allows designers to make decisions faster, test multiple alternatives, and manage the entire project object set more consistently.
Command location: Right-click on a placed element > Create Variant
Creating a Variant
Variants can be created easily in the program: place the object on the floor plan or in the 3D view, then right-click and select Create Variant.
In the pop-up dialog, enter a variant name so it can be easily identified later in the library.
Renaming and Deleting Variants
In the Object Center, right-click the selected item to access options for renaming a variant or deleting variants that are no longer needed.
đź’ˇ Tip: Deleting a variant affects only the object versions stored in the library; any instances already placed in the drawing remain unchanged.
