Adding a layer to a wall

Adding a layer to a wall in ARCHLine.XP is done by selecting the wall, specifying the new layer width, and accessing the Wall Layer dialog  to manage layers. 
Users can insert new layer, define their function (e.g., Plaster, Finish), material, and thickness. Layers are positioned above or below the existing layers boundary, and their priority dictates how they join with other walls.

Location: Building - Wall - Edit - Add layer to wall side

To add a new layer to a wall, do the following:

1. Click on the wall side where you want the new wall layer to appear
2. Specify the width of the new layer by moving the mouse to specify the distance, or type the value.
3. The new layer has the same properties as the selected layer.
   Later in the wall layer dialog you can change the layer properties.
