Group modification commands

ARCHLine.XP supports editing groups.
You can add or remove elements, replace them with another group, and update group instances.

Editing or redefining a group changes the appearance of all occurrences of the group in the drawing.

To modify all instances in the document, select a group and then choose one of the following commands.

Command location: Drawing - Group - Modify

Command	What does it do?
Replace Group	Replaces group A with group B
Update instances	Updating groups with the same name allows all instances placed in the drawing to be updated at the same time.
Make unique	An “anonymous” version is automatically created to keep it separate from the original group.
Attach to group	This command allows you to add new elements to an existing group. When you close the command, all instances placed in the drawing are automatically updated.
Detach from group	This command allows you to extract elements from an existing group. When you close the command, all instances placed in the drawing are automatically updated.
