ARCHLine.XP supports editing groups.
You can add or remove elements, replace them with another group, and update group instances.
Editing or redefining a group changes the appearance of all occurrences of the group in the drawing.
To modify all instances in the document, select a group and then choose one of the following commands.
Command location: Drawing - Group - Modify
| Command | What does it do? |
| Replace Group | Replaces group A with group B |
| Update instances | Updating groups with the same name allows all instances placed in the drawing to be updated at the same time. |
| Make unique | An “anonymous” version is automatically created to keep it separate from the original group. |
| Attach to group | This command allows you to add new elements to an existing group. When you close the command, all instances placed in the drawing are automatically updated. |
| Detach from group | This command allows you to extract elements from an existing group. When you close the command, all instances placed in the drawing are automatically updated. |
