Sections are a common design drawing technique for graphically representing architecture.
A section drawing is a special type of drawing that illustrates a part of a building.
A section is drawn from a vertical plane that cuts through the building. This is like cutting a vertical section through a space and standing directly in front of it, looking straight at it.
Section drawings are orthographic projections of ARCHLine.XP.
Creating a section view, you can control the region depth and width. Resizing the crop region, you can control what displays in the section view.
The section view can be a straight cut section line or a polyline section defined by a stepped section line.
The section line contains letters (section symbol) and arrows at the end that indicate the direction of the section view. ARCHLine.XP offers the default symbol that displays at the end of the section line. You can use your own symbol to define sections according to country norms.
Section views are listed in the Project Navigator.
