You can modify a railing by editing the path, the railing components and properties on layout.
Location: Building - Railing - Edit Railing layout
Click on the railing and place the side view on the floor plan. Railing layout appears on the floor plan with dimensions. Use tools from the Ribbon bar or edge or node markers to modify the railing.
Markers appear on the layout, by which you can activate the edit commands. Depending on the node or edge you click, different commands are available.

Move | Move the selected part of the railing |

Delete | Delete the selected part of the railing |
Modify | Change the properties of the selected component only. |
Edit railing | Edit the selected part of the railing. You can change the height of the railing, the shape used for each part, and the number of rails. |

Adjust to handrail |
Adjust the top of the balusters to the handrail. |
Adjust to stair / support |
Adjusts balusters to the stairs. Only the bottom of the baluster is fitted to the stairs. The length of the balusters does not change.

Elevate node | Modify the elevation of the Railing node nearest to the click point graphically or entering a value. |
Elevate part | Elevate the Railing segment. |
Elevate all on the right side | Elevate the selected Railing segment and all the other segments that located to the right side of the selected one. |
Elevate all on the left side | Elevate the selected Railing segment and all the other segments that located to the left side of the selected one. |

Edit selected Railing segment independently from the other Railing segments on the Railing editor dialog.

Insert node | Insert a new node between two existing Railing nodes |
Lengthen a part | Change the length of the selected component. |
Handrail rise at an angle of two points |
Define the slope of the selected Railing segment with the direction defined by two points. |
Copy distribution | Copy the baluster distribution from one Railing segment to other segments. You have to click on the targeted Railing segments to copy the distribution from the selected segment. |
Move node | Move railing node |
Delete node | Delete railing node |
Join parts | Join two neighbouring railing segments. |
