ARCHLine.XP, leading BIM software brand used globally, launches the 2025 version. Let's take a look at the ground-breaking features that will change the way architects and designers approach their projects.
Architectural innovations:
Extended capabilities for Native Revit import :
As a result of the development of the Import RVT function, the most important architectural elements keep their type and properties. The wall, slab, column, beam also appear in ARCHLine.XP as elements of the same type, with the same properties.
Stairs landing thickness change:
ARCHLine.XP automatically calculates the default value for the landing thickness of the stairs. However, it is possible to override the thickness value by entering a different value.
Graphic list of stair steps:
Stair steps cut list can be an aid in part layout, confirming key dimensions, and estimating sizing needs.
Slab with sloped and variable thickness:
ARCHLine.XP offers a new way to specify the slope slope, e.g. on a sidewalk or balcony where a natural slope must also be created with a layer of cement for drainage.
Wall layers and phases:
You can fully customize the wall's appearance applying different phases to different wall layers.
Road section profile with materials:
You can specify different materials for different parts of the road section (eg pavement, green area, road, etc.). This new feature allows you to create more complex and lifelike roads in the field without having to make changes later.
Editable roof markers:
Several improvements were made to roof reference markers . New markers help to edit roof directly.
Interchangeable opening directions in 3D view
The opening direction symbols in the 3D view can be mirrored with one click.
User defined stair standards
You can change the stair standards based on the Local Athority's preferences, so the calculator will create the perfect stair.
Different visible material for roof layers
You can now overwrite the material display settings of roof layers.
Arched beams
You can now activate the Arch beam command from the Property Grid and set its values without having to enter its properties dialog.
Move slab beam symbol
The main direction is indicated by a two-way arrow in the center of the slab. The drawing may become more readable by moving the arrow.
Lining and architrave
You can assign frame to the inside or the outside of the doors or windows, and specify cross section.
Interior design innovations
PBR Materials:
An entirely new material resource is available to display better materials.
PBR materials open a new world to realism. PBR means Physically Based Rendering and allows to simulate existing materials as realistic as possible under all lighting conditions.
Color temperature:
You can also specify a color temperature in artificial light. By adjusting the light temperature, you can achieve a much more real effect than changing the color of the light. The color temperature can be adjusted between 1000 K and 10000 K to simulate the light from today’s bulbs.
Creating custom ceiling with lights: False ceiling is one of the most complex element in modern home design. You can completely customize the look of your ceiling by adding so-called recesses and attachments to accommodate hidden LED lighting.
Creating sliding doors in the Door Wizard:
It is possible to create custom sliding doors using the Door Wizard command. With the new options, you can also make sliding doors running in front of and in the wall.
Tags - Cabinet parts:
Tag extension so that the number of pieces and the name of the parts appear in two columns.
Cabinet explosion with part numbers:
You can place an automatically created exploded view of the cabinets with numbered parts.
Cabinet opening animation: Cabinet animation shows the cabinet opening directions. Animation is designed to detect and avoid collisions.
Documentation & Interface features
Welcome Screen: The dialog provides convenient access to recently opened files, starting new project and online knowledge base.
Status bar: The status bar includes a new option Clean Screen to maximize the drawing area by hiding the ribbon, toolbars, and panels.
Sign in to ARCHLine.XP: Sign in to use ARCHLine.XP from anywhere. You can login with the username and password you use with your work or school account you associated with ARCHLine.XP. ARCHLine.XP remains activated as long as you're signed in.
Remaining Days:
ARCHLine.XP displays in the top-right corner the number of days left.
Export 3D PDF files: You can save and share 3D models to PDFs, the most popular file format in the documentation. You can adjust the rotation, magnification, rendering mode, lighting, background color, and visibility of each section using standard Adobe Reader controls.
IFC export improvements
We extended the list of information included in IFC export files.
PDF export improvements
This new development guarantees that the PDF files exported from ARCHLine.XP are have the smallest possible size.
XREF Point Clouds
You don't have to import large Point Cloud files into the project, you can link them to the project.
Variable texts with their own styles
When placing variable texts in ARCHLine.XP, you have the option to select the text style individually for each element.
User defined roombook net and gross area values
You can use the calculated values created by ARCHLine.XP or you can set any value manually.
Equal distances: In the design, elements often need to be spaced evenly. These commands help you accurately divide the space between the selected items.
Multiple copying new options: ARCHLine.XP supports multiple copying of selected items in several ways such as along one axis (lock to X,Y or Z) and along a path.
Project cleaner: A simple and effective tool to reduce the size of project files. You can remove all unnecessary and unwanted items from your project in one step. This tool manages all the added files, objects, styles, etc. of the project.
Microsoft OneDrive cloud support: From 2022 ARCHLine.XP supports both cloud storage service Google Drive, and OneDrive.
Special print setting: Upside down: On some printing devices, the margins are different at the top and bottom.
Extended calculated values for 3D Shapes
You can now export 3D Shape parameters into excel lists and schedules from the BIM parameters.
Building dimensions including wall thickness and door/window centerlines
From now on, the centerlines of the openings can also be dimensioned from the internal wall thicknesses.
Plan sheet copy
You can create copies of the drwaing sheets with one click.
ARCHLine.XP LT version with two skins: ARCHLine.XP LT version provides two types of Ribbon menu layouts
Creating dimensions all at once between temporary line intersection points: By drawing a temporary line, the program creates dimensions between the intersection of the line and the drawing elements.
Align elements in 2D and 3D views: The manual solution so far is too time consuming and not accurate at all. Use the Alignment tool to specify the exact location of objects in seconds. This tool offers a number of options for sorting objects as you like. Can be used in both 2D and 3D views.
General Innovations
Design Center new layout: The new layout shows all items in a category at once.
View tabs: View tabs provide access to all views in a minimal amount of space.
