The “2/3” decision process:
If the cut piece on the edge of the wall would be smaller than 2/3 of the tile, then shift the pattern so that there are cut tiles of the same size on both sides.
A joint is placed exactly in the middle of the wall. From there, the tiles start in both directions.
Example: If only 10 cm of the 60 cm tile is left in the corner, the software “shifts” the layout so that there are 34-34 cm cut tiles in both corners (taking into account joints).
This provides a much more balanced look.
