Color modes determine how a point in the cloud is visually displayed.
Since a single point can have multiple properties at once – such as laser intensity or geometric distance – ARCHLine.XP uses these modes to accurately select which data source to color the object.
You can view and switch between these settings in the Properties panel, under the Colors drop-down menu, after selecting the element.
Color Methods
- Reset - Restore original point cloud colors
- Set Color - Removes any specific color data and renders the entire point cloud in a single uniform color. The whole point cloud looks like a monochromatic block.
- Mix Color - Colorize the points by multiplying their current colors by the selected one.
- Enhance with intensities - Enhances the RGB colors dynamics with the associated 'intensities' scalar field.
Metallic or reflective surfaces will have high intensity, while wet asphalt or dark vegetation will have low intensity. Makes surface analysis and material discrimination more intuitive. - Convert to grayscale - This tool calculates a single brightness value for every point based on its existing Red, Green, and Blue (RGB) colors.
Scalar Field - Converts the current RGB color field to one or several scalar fields.
