Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your ARCHLine.hu account. Once enabled, in addition to your password, you will need to enter a one-time verification code generated by the Google Authenticator app when signing in.
What do I need?
To set up Two-Factor Authentication, you will need:
- your www.archlinexp.com user account,
- a smartphone,
- the Google Authenticator app installed on your phone.
If you do not have Google Authenticator installed yet, download it from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
How to enable Two-Factor Authentication
1. Sign in to your ARCHLine.hu account
Open the ARCHLine.hu website and sign in using your usual email address and password.
2. Open the security settings
In your user account, open Security, then find the Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) or (Google Authenticator) option.
Select the option to enable Two-Factor Authentication.
3. Open the Google Authenticator app
Launch the Google Authenticator app on your smartphone.
If this is your first time using the app, follow the instructions displayed on your phone.
4. Scan the QR code
A QR code will be displayed on the ARCHLine.hu website. (The image is for illustration purposes only and does not contain a real QR code.)
In the Google Authenticator app, select the option to scan a QR code, then use your phone's camera to scan the QR code displayed on the ARCHLine.hu website.
Important: The QR code contains security information associated with your account. Do not take a screenshot of it or share it with anyone.
5. Enter the verification code
Once the QR code has been successfully scanned, Google Authenticator will display a time-based verification code for your ARCHLine.hu account.
Enter the current code in the corresponding field on the ARCHLine.hu website, then confirm the activation of Two-Factor Authentication.
6. Done – Two-Factor Authentication is now active
Once activation is complete, your ARCHLine.hu account is protected by Two-Factor Authentication.
The next time you sign in:
- Enter your email address and password.
- Open the Google Authenticator app on your phone.
- Find the verification code for your ARCHLine.hu account.
- Enter the current verification code on the ARCHLine.hu website.
You will then be signed in as usual.
What should I do if the verification code doesn't work?
The verification codes generated by Google Authenticator change automatically at short intervals.
If your code is not accepted:
- make sure you are entering the code associated with your ARCHLine.hu account;
- wait for the next code to appear and try again;
- make sure the date and time on your phone are set correctly.
What happens if I get a new phone?
Before changing phones, make sure you transfer your accounts stored in Google Authenticator to your new device.
If you no longer have access to your old phone and therefore cannot generate the verification code required to sign in, use the account recovery option provided by ARCHLine.hu, if available.
I lost my phone. What should I do?
If you have lost your phone or can no longer access the Google Authenticator app for any other reason, use the recovery option provided for your account.
If you are still unable to sign in, please contact ARCHLine Customer Support for assistance.
Why should I use Two-Factor Authentication?
Two-Factor Authentication significantly improves the security of your account.
Even if someone obtains or guesses your password, the password alone will not be enough to access your account. They would also need the current verification code generated by Google Authenticator.
We recommend that all ARCHLine.hu users enable Two-Factor Authentication to help keep their accounts secure.
