If you want to make the previous settings available in the new version from the older version on the same computer, you can do so in the "Migrate custom settings and files from previous releases" dialog that appears when you start the program for the first time.
If you skip this on first launch, the command can still be invoked later from the File -> Options -> Open and Save dialog -> Migrate custom settings and files from previous releases.
