ARCHLine.XP, leading BIM software brand used globally, launches the 2025 version. Let's take a look at the ground-breaking features that will change the way architects and designers approach their projects.
Architecural innovations
Wall Detection on Point Cloud: Surveying with point cloud tools nowadays is a quick and easy process. The real difficulty is creating a BIM building model from point cloud. The new Wall Detection tool reduces the time required to create a BIM model to a fraction. Wall Detection tools gives you the ability to detect walls precisely from point cloud.

Export 3D model into Revit: ARCHLine.XP exports 3D model to Revit in RVT format, generating objects with precise geometries, properties and BIM parameters. Exporting directly to .rvt file format saves time and makes communication between Revit and ARCHLine.XP easier.
Integrated bsDD buildingSMART’s service: bSDD is a collection of interconnected data dictionaries with definitions of terms to describe the built environment. bsDD is fully integrated in ARCHLine.XP.
Automatic Floor Plan Generator: You can create detailed floor plans in a fraction of the time it would take to do it manually. Different floor plans can be tried out in a cycle, which gives ideas for the final layout. The suggestions can be easily refined further using the familiar architectural design tools.
Integrated D5 render: With the direct connection of D5 render and ARCHLine.XP 2025 you can create stunning renderings of both buidings and interior spaces.
Graphical Crop view allows designers to focus on specific areas of the building model or to control the extent of the view before printing. It is used in section, elevation views, and partial 3D views.
Curtain wall with sloped mullions allows you to create angled curtain wall mullions.
MEP - Conduit: Draw the electrical plan of the buildings in ARCHLine.XP 2025 and share the 3D model with your team via IFC files.
MEP elements created on sections and elevations: MEP elements placed on sections and elevation views are placed on the view's plane marked on the floor plan, so it's always clear what you're drawing and where.
Adjust the top and bottom height of the Cut-away 3D model graphically: Adjust graphically the top and bottom height of the Cut-away 3D model, thus only those parts are displayed in the 3D model, that are absolutely necessary for the design process.
Map raster image to surface: You can apply a photo to the side of a building or any other flat surfaces.
Interior design innovations
Add background to Architectural rendering: The render image is created with an editable background. This means that transparent surfaces in the image, such as glass surfaces, are marked with an alpha channel. Various backgrounds can be placed behind the render image on the floor plan.
Object templates: Object Templates act as an “assembly” that is saved in the library once and used multiple times. Unlike a normal static object, you can quickly change its components and appearance. Each instance of the Object Templates can be adjusted to display different visibility states, 2D representation in floorplan and 3D view.
Specifying object top and bottom height: Placing objects at the exact height in the 3D model used to require calculations, for example, if you wanted to place a lamp on the ceiling. You had to calculate the difference in height between the lamp and the ceiling in order to be able to specify the base height of the lamp. In version 2025, you can also specify the top height and the object will immediately jump to the correct position.
Improved IES light sources: Enhanced render engine with improved commonly used IES lights. This feature further enhances the lifelike appearance of the already familiar high quality render images.
Place materials with the Paint bucket tool: When you start the paint bucket command, the materials dialog is opened. Here you can select the desired material and then use it in the 3D model.
Tiling with 3 materials: Tiling is extended and can now handle 3 materials at once. The new command allows you to create much more lifelike coverings, such as more realistic parquet floors or exciting wall coverings
Adding a 3D spatial hotspot to the object definition: Each object has at least one 2D and 3D hotspot, which can be used to move the object with a single click. Add new hotspots to any object in your library and make your workflow faster and smoother.
Custom render styles: Now you can not only assign render styles to materials, but also change the settings of render styles, so you can completely customize the appearance of textures on rendered images.
Documentation & Interface features
Section visibility filters: You can create a view filter that identifies elements based on categories. Apply these filters to the sections to change the visibility status of the selected elements.
New direct editing options of elements: When selecting an element, an editable list appears where you can change the main parameters of the selected element. This feature is available for most architectural elements in ARCHLine.XP. It is available both in 2D and 3D views.
Redesigned Coordinate System interface: As one of the goals of ARCHLine.XP is to improve the user experience, we have redefined the world and project coordinate system management interface.
Redesigned styles panel: The user interface has changed quite slightly with a redesigned styles panel that improves accessibility to the most commonly used styles and quick navigation.
Schedules by selection: The new Schedule command places all selected elements, sorted by type, on the drawing sheet at once. This feature speeds up the tedious documentation process many times over.
Window symbol with opening direction: In ARCHLine.XP, the window symbol on the floor plan can be supplemented with a direction indicator indicating the direction of opening.
Custom wing settings in Door/Window wizard: Create a custom door or window wing in ARCHLine.XP or import a model that meets your requirements, then assign this object to a door/window in the Door/Window Wizard.
Consignment per room with elements inside: The Excel Rooms list has been expanded with a new Excel worksheet that contains a list of elements within rooms.
List of materials for surfaces by room: Create a list of materials on the surfaces that are inside a room.
