FOR PC USERS
RECOMMENDED
- Operating System: 64 bit Microsoft Windows 11 or Microsoft Windows 10 with the latest updates installed (Media feature pack needs to be installed for Windows 10 'N' and 'KN' versions).
- Processor (CPU): Intel i7, i9 or 8 core AMD Ryzen processor.
- Memory (RAM): 16 GB or more.
- Video card (GPU): Video card with DirectX 11 and 9.0c support. Suggestion: NVIDIA or ATI graphics cards with minimum 4 GB or more dedicated memory. Integrated video cards are not recommended.
- Video card (GPU) for LIVE: 4 GB with DirectX 11 support - NVIDIA or AMD. G3D Mark at least 8000. You can find the G3D Mark value of your graphics card here: Passmark Software - Video Card (GPU) Benchmark Charts. Integrated Intel video cards are NOT recommended.
- Hard disk: 1TB SSD - 10 GB available hard disk space on the installation drive and at least an additional 10 GB free space on the system drive (this is the C: drive in most cases).*
- Display: FullHD (1920x1080) resolution. 4K is supported. For Notebooks, the minimum recommended display size (screen diagonal) is 15 " FullHD (1920x1080). For a 4K resolution monitor, the recommended minimum display size (screen diagonal) is 27".
- Mouse: 2 button, scroll-wheel mouse.

- Hard disk: 256 GB SSD or HDD - 10 GB available hard disk space on the installation drive and at least an additional 10 GB free space on the system drive (this is the C: drive in most cases).*

- Memory (RAM): minimum 8 GB RAM (16 GB RAM or more is recommended) dedicated to running the Windows operating system.
- Mouse: 2 button, scroll-wheel mouse.
* Every new Mac lets you install and run Windows at native speed, using a built-in utility called Boot Camp. In order to run ARCHLine.XP in a Mac environment you need to install the Window operating system too.
DIRECTX SUPPORT
ARCHLine.XP® requires DirectX support on version 11 or 9.0.c level. DirectX 11 is recommended.
How can I update my computer's graphics driver?
- If you have a notebook or laptop computer: Please visit the website of the notebook manufacturer to download the latest driver.
- If you have a desktop or workstation computer: Before you can update the graphics driver, you need to know what kind of graphics card you have. For more information about how to find out what graphics card you have in your PC, do the following. The easiest way is to run the DirectX Diagnostic Tool:
- Click "Start".
- On the "Start" menu, click "Run".
- In the "Open" box, type "dxdiag" (without the quotation marks) , and then click "OK".
- The DirectX Diagnostic Tool opens. Click the "Display" tab.
- On the "Display" tab, information about your graphics card is shown in the "Device" section. You can see the name of your card, as well as how much video memory it has.
- Once you know the kind of graphics card you have, visit the manufacturer's website to download the latest driver. Here are links for downloading drivers from the most common graphics card manufacturers: NVIDIA, ATI (AMD), Intel
Important note: Most Intel graphics solutions are developed for office use and NOT recommended for CAD applications!
CLOUD BASED SOLUTIONS
ARCHLine.XP only supports Google Drive for storing and managing projects in the cloud. Google Drive is integrated into ARCHLine.XP, however other cloud based solutions are not recommended for project saving, only for archiving. E.g. Microsoft OneDrive. Details are here.
NOT SUPPORTED SOFTWARE
LogMeIn users may experience warnings about outdated drivers at the program startup. This is due to the LogMeIn Mirror Driver which may affect the performance while working with ARCHLine.XP. Please contact the LogMeIn HelpDesk for further instructions and information. Uninstalling the LogMeIn Mirror Driver might be necessary. The Plays.TV screen recorder client is reported to be incompatible with ARCHLine.XP, making it unstable and causing frequent crashes. It is highly recommended to uninstall the Plays.TV client, if you have it installed on your computer.
